Paolo’s Deli: Authentic Italian Delights in Reno

The food here is excellent, fresh and authentic definitely have the Salata mista which has mozzarella Light balsamic dressing eggplant and white bean salad along with fresh greens. The sausage sandwich is incredibly tasty mild not spicy sausage. Very flavorful. The turkey ham and provolone has lettuce with the balsamic dressing and is superb. We outside and they brought the food to our table. Definitely the one of the best if not the best sandwich shop in town

I came to visit from California and was recommended this place by my brother and his fiancé. He went on and on about how this place had the best sandwiches he’s ever had. I am delighted to say that it’s not just hype, the food here is fresh, healthy, and above all made with love by the compassionate duo running the show behind the counter! If your a local support this gem and if your visiting definitely stop by, you won’t be disappointed!

Paolo’s Deli is a fantastic Italian sandwich shop with top-quality imported ingredients. The prosciutto was incredible, paired perfectly with fresh mozzarella and arugula on the most perfect bread—crunchy on the outside without being too hard, and soft on the inside. That same amazing bread was used for the meatball sandwich, which featured tender, melt-in-your-mouth meatballs. The espresso machine also made a great cappuccino. I was excited to learn that the owner also founded La Famiglia, one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

5 Stars! I'm always on the hunt for good food everywhere I go. Today, we decided to try Paolo's Deli. It's a small little sandwich spot, but our first experience was awesome. The ingredient quality is fantastic, the care put into building each sandwich is fantastic, and the customer service was very compassionate. I have a feeling we may eat here every month if not every week when we have our next sandwich craving. We also ordered the minestrone / vegetable soup. Also very solid. Everything tastes homemade.. and that's the best and highest quality food you can experience. Their food is absolutely made with passion and love. I'll be referring everyone in town to this spot for sandwiches. Thank you for a fantastic first experience - we will be back soon.

I am backkkkk with another BOMB sandwich spot. Seriously, I didn't even notice this spot until my lady pointed it out. I figured I'd give it a shot. I am so happy I did. The customer service was good. There's only one guy in there working but he's working hard. The inside is super clean. Definitely taken care of. The vibes are very much sandwich spot. It's pretty small inside so there is seating outside. It is cozy. Now for my sandwich.! I got the Italian Stallion. I removed the red peppers and tomatoes, as we know I am picky. The lettuce, the meats, and the pepperoncinis tho were soooooooo great. The flavors were perfect for my taste buds. Ahhh the bread was my favorite part. If I could have a loaf to take home and eat by myself, that's exactly what I would do. Overall, it's a must try. I will for sure be back for another sandwich. The first one was so good I am going to need to try something new. Sincerely.

Went in because I wanted a QUALITY sandwich but some subway or port of subs. Found this place close to where I live. Upon entry there is a shelf with imported Italian products like sauces, noodles , lady fingers etc. They also sell wine by the bottle, Italian soda. I ordered 2 sandwiches to go ; the Italian stallion and the meatball. The own was very polite and advised I eat the meatball in house next time to ensure the highest quality since the bread is toasted. Took them home and the meatball was amazing! Everything has that home cooked meal/ comfort flavor to it. It felt like something I'd cook but didn't. Huge meatballs , lots of melted cheese, the bread was crunchy in the outside with slight grill marks ( sorry no pics) . The Italian stallion was flavorful. Very rare I don't need condiments on a sandwich but the oils complimented it very well. Fully loaded. Highly recommend family owned and operated small business in town.

Found this by searching google for a good chicken parm sandwich and they delivered!! Excellent sauce and the chicken cutlet was perfectly cooked! The staff was so friendly and service was quick. We ordered chicken parm sandwiches, lasagna, and a slice of house made cheesecake and everything was delicious! We will definitely make this a regular stop on our trips to Reno.

Really really good. Obsessed w the bean salad it has perfectly cooked naturally creamy white beans and some surprise chops of white onion. Idk how it works but it workssss. The caesar salad is excellent, classic, just Romain, but the dressing is made in house NOT using mayo (so rare to see) The meatball is so good, the lasagna was okay! Very homey but very soft noodles which isnt my fav. Turkey sandwich is good bread is a little dry so maybe a sandwich with sauce on this bread is the way to go!
